~BAPHOMET ENGINE~ AUSTRALIAN DEBUT

Baphomet Engine is the collaboration of Luis Fernando Secchinatto and Fábio Aurélio Siqueira from Brazil. Coming from different musical background (Fábio was involved in Trash Metal bands since 1992, and Luis played in punk and ska bands), in 1998 they both moved from traditional bands and instruments, to electronic music. With a true musician background and a real psychedelic state of mind, Baphomet Engine is creating an incredible experience with a powerful energy. Experimenting with a wide range of sounds and frequencies, they are developing their music to reveal to you the insanity and chaos of the "true" world.

Their first break into psy-trance came with the inclusion of their track “Espanta Santo” on Alkaloid’s compilation True Reality in 2004. Since then have released tracks on compilations by Manic Dragon, Nabi, Kagdila, Yage, Illuminati, Psyber Tribe, Devil’s Mind and Kabrathor, including collaborations with SEQUIPA, Shenz, Dejan, and Electrypnose.

Today, Baphomet Engine is recognized as one of the most innovative and creative acts from Brazil and with a real night music energy. They tell you stories with amazing feelings and take you on a deep journey to experience the final judgement day.

THE HERECTIC was formed by Fabio Aurelio Siqueira in the end of 2007 . The style is psytrance with a lot of influences from heavy metal , trash, black metal and some old psytrance projects. Fabio try bring the same power and fury from the metal to your music, trying keep the bassline rolling straight to the music, and puting some disturbed drumS and dry leads or something like that...
Fabio are one of the two guys behind of the Baphomet Engine project,and work with music since 1994 or near , playing bass guitars with metal bands . Started make psytrance before the end of 2003 when your brother Tiago André show to him the audio produce softwares .with your background from years working with bands he stand until now working with e-music and have another project calling Abutres SA (progressive psy)


PAUL ABAD

Paul Abad is a dj, producer, promoter, visual artist and community activator based in south east Queensland. He has been part of the local music scene since 1998 and is now a regular on the east coast circuit. The width of his experience sees him play everything from outdoor festivals to experimental/sound art gigs to warehouse breaks/glitch nights.
After years of exploring a variety of electronic genres, Paul has now positioned himself as one of the leading exponents of minimal/progressive techno and hi-fi breaks in the outdoor festival scene in Australia. His obsession with futuristic sonics and dedicated outdoor sensibilities still shine through in how he works with these genres, in track selection and overall feel, and he has a unique ability to tailor sets to a specific time and place. Tool of choice these days is laptop with Ableton live and a 32 knob controller, ensuring a seamless and creative approach to mixing. Flow, groove, space and progression are key themes in Paulfs sets, but of primary importance is the mix - recombining and layering, and responding to an audience
2007 saw Paul join Cairns label Open Records team. In 2008 Paul is teaming up with label mate Solatek to compile a progressive techno release, with a planned release date of the 08/09 summer festival season.
