Pity I can't make it this year as the lineup look's awesome! Last years event was killah, my first time in that venue and was really impressed with the sound/lighting and vibe of the place (not to mention the irish beer!). :atom:

This event far exceeded my expectations. Best venue imaginable with the best lineup (for my tastes anyway) with the best sound I have ever heard from a doof. The magic of the salmonella dub freestyle jam followed up with a freestyle dubstep beatbox rap duo blew me away. Witnessing talented artists m...

To me it seem's retarted that someone would stick their hand up to being such a titearse that they would try to get a discount rate at a charity event!

It's not trance, but it is more psychedelic than psytrance that's for sure. I might bring some newbies allong and crack their eggs open like an omlette

Enjoyed the "birthday" set very much, along with the sound, decor and visuals.
Beautiful location, swimming hole, people and lizard!

Tunes were a bit hard and dark for my liking, maybe it was too hot during the day for crankin psy? Maybe im just gettin old+

Thanx heaps!

Adam, thanx for the effort that u put in to your detailed review. I lived in darwin 4 a few years (actually making a living as a pro dj in the shitty redneck bars there), and after reading your review i am certainly enticed to make the effort to go ( or contribute) to next years event. There was no ...

I can see that by having a free event makes for a bigger crowd, and that the more people to embrace this concept the better, but unfortunately it fell on deaf ears. An entry fee is a great soloution to many of the problems faced by the type of people that were attracted to this event. People tend to...

I thaught the Fluffy pant raver chicks going off to some of Alex's tasty tunes helped to create for me the best vibe of the day. Great to see a shitload of obviously non "psytrance hippies" rocking out.

Deepchild's awesome comments really helped me to understand the goings on at this event in a new light. His well educated, mature outlook on what's going on here is right on the money. Speaking of money, the volunteer's on the gate that were collecting it were doing an awesome job- but they had thei...

Oh, it was a mighty fine day though. Glorious actually. Pissing down with rain today, so I guess that things actually might have turned out for the best in that respect. I think the vibe here in "sin city" is taking me a while to adjust to. I had a great time and I do appreciate the effort that the ...

For starters it was held on the wrong day, there is a reason for this event to take place and it includes a synchronised prayer that takes place at over 400 events worldwide. What is the point of this exercise?(Apart from being a branding excersise for Deep as Funk.) No opening, closing ceremony or ...

Was a Realian, untill I took what I needed from it and moved on to the next thing. Surprisingly there was no effort to try to win me back, and everything is cool ( i still have love and respect for that mob and am sympathetic to their cause of building an embassy for extraterrestrials). Having said ...

Quite amusing to see the fuss about Gill's religosity. Particularly when it is a fact that Gill is NOT a Raelian. In fact, he is not affiliated with any belief system. Never have I met a more open minded, understanding human being who simly loves music more than any god (alien or otherwise). If the ...

Well, thank goodness the conquest crew have faith in this city, and the Astrix gig at home prooved a point that there is a scene here worth throwing some money at. After seeing Eskimo play a few times I'm sure that gig should be well supported also (if it is as well promoted as the astrix gig). Happ...

I know this aint an employment agency here, but I thaught I'd scope out the "scene" to see if anyone here is up for a labouring job. I'm a roofer and I need a labourer to help me out on a casual (at this stage) basis. Now, what I do for a living can be dangerous and you do need your wits about you. ...
