The real issue here is that 99% of people on this website make up 1% of people who are actually attending parties so your preaching to the wronge choir. I highly rate 400's. If you can get a set at a decent price definitely go for it. I owned a set of 1000's for about year but i still feel more comfortable mixing on 400's little sturdy units!
