Jaimz, i think you're pointing the finger at the wrong people. Punters don't put on parties, promoters do. If promoters aren't putting on large events then thats hardly the punters fault Absolutely, promoters need to step up to the plate too, add real quality to their events, put some effort into i...

I got jaded once when some stingy promotor (having a winge in this thred) was all focused on money and not wanting to pay the artists at the risk of his own profit.... Rollyz is talking about me here. He's still upset because six years ago I wouldn't let four of his friends in for free when he was ...

Look, maybe YOU muppets like the small parties but that's because you're close minded idiots who are afraid of change, and you're happy to revisit the same tired formula week after week, trying in vain to recreate the same magical feeling you got at your first event - which for many of you was over ...

Well I'm real happy about your dinky little 100 people in the bush dancing to monitor speakers. Someone come tell me when the parties with 600 people dancing to A-grade internationals with a diverse and entertaining musical menu are on again and I'll throw the Esky in the back of the Falcon.

wow mate, when were you in keiraville? i grew up there and lived in murphy's ave (just past the conservatorium intersection with robsons rd towards the mountain) until 2000 and yes, gwynneville bakery is the best! I lived there for all of 1998. Holy crap, ten years ago now. But yeah, about number 4...

I've lived in Gwynneville, Keiraville, Wollongong West and Wollongong North.

My favourites were Wollongong North (in a unit one block from the beach) and Keiraville (in house on Murphy's Avenue, across the road from the Botanical Gardens).

What other old flyers do you have?

Do you have the flyer to the Free To Be Me that was outdoors, up at Colo? Or the one that was at the Basin camping ground?

He's just talking about recording a mix from decks, Ritchie. Not using a laptop to DJ. You don't need an Audio Interface, Mike. Just hook it straight into your Mic/Line In port. If it's distorting you need to drop the recording volume. Sound Forge is the best thing to use to record, but Audacity is ...

1. Call promoter who you wish to hear your mix.

2. Wait for voicemail.

3. Place phone next to speakers.

4. Start mixing!

But he brings up some good points. It is actually easier for "Customers" to find illegal downloads of releases than some of the legitimate ones. I found about 20 sites yesterday selling RAZ's new album for $1.20 and some were higer up the google search list than TID or Beatport. Sure, but adding a ...

Where did he post that? There are numerous sites that are legally and properly selling psytrance - Beatport and TrackItDown spring to mind but there are more. Trancepool offers nothing new over those, except it has a smaller catalogue and less quality control. They misspelt "Crystal Matrix" on their...

This is definitely shaping up to be a memorable party - these are three of the best dark South African acts around at the moment. Top quality, and a top club as well. And it's this weekend! Definitely a huge way to kick off a long weekend.

I wanted to encourage people to use decks as if they were playin without the aid of digital devices. Kinda making a level playin field for everyone. You may use digital devices to master here and there. But that's the whole point. Using a digital medium allows you to not have to do the majority of ...

I went to a small Norweigian town about two years ago. I ordered a pizza and a round of beers (for four of us). It cost me $70. Norway's psytrance scene is almost as big as New Zealand. It's cold, but there's plenty of money to be made there if you like working on offshore oil rigs, or working in fi...

The problem in the 60's was that (mostly) government funded researchers were testing lucy on people in a clinical/lab setting. As a result, people would often have bad trips due to the whole set/setting thing. And because of this, psychedelics began receiving a reputation as being psychomimetic in ...

Yes, I read it. As a conscientious human, I have the right to do as I did. I said nothing defamatory, merely pointed out that the decision (which, despite relying on NSW-PD and NSW-CFS recommendations) was theirs, and that they chose wrongly. And the sooner they are aware that many people feel they...
