Looking forward to this Regen! Another vote from me for Rythmic Sun AND aNti-MattEr. Both great DJ's, very talented - incredibly smooth mixing and superb track selection. Every time I've seen them play I've been impressed, and they always play appropriately for their time. Also both very genuine peo...

I guess the thing to keep in mind is that the HD is almost ALWAYS the FIRST thing that will die in a computer, as it is the only component with 'moving parts' which naturally means wear & tear... Obviously this is not always the case, but you can usually count on it.

would it make sense to play footage of the 1st EPP party? Depends, does it have much tentacle sex? Really looking forward to this party - should be a good night I always enjoy EPP parties. Has been a while since I've been to Club 77 - brings good memories of Tweekin & Jus' Right back in the day...

Really enjoyed this party. Awesome venue, lush green-ness was a welcome contrast to overdrive-dust @ RSF. Shame about the FRACAS set - I know how much work, stress & lack of sleep was put into it, and was sounding ultra-fresh before the live-realistic-power-glitch action! Alas this is the way of...

Agreed re backup (and registry programs). Very important. I did a 100 GB backup just last night of samples + tracks across to the external harddrive. First one in a YEAR An external hard drive is cheap as chips these days. Well worth it, would be absolutely devestating to lose everything. I've had t...

Hey, you're not Bob Hatfield at all. Bob never swore like that. And from what I can remember, he never produced disco.

I love seeing live acts, and an all live set party could be interesting, but I don't think it would work all the time. A DJ brings to a party a journey through a variety of different sounds and artists and styles which is, in a way, more versatile than a live act, as it ventures through different 's...

That's more VJs than you can throw a stick at! Unless you have a very big stick. But be warned - they'll probably film you throwing it at them, and then loop it all night, and everyone will know you're an idiot that throws sticks at innocent VJs. Also, BYO stick. This is an outrage. We demand you p...

Would be very cool to have these guys in Sydney. I last saw them (Praecox/Kino Oko/Bigwigs sets from memory?) in Melb at an indoor gig a long while ago, and they were great live acts.

Go the Polish! ;) :P

Great festival that again proved that Rainbow Serpent is by far the leading festival in Australia. Many place RSF as amongst the top few festivals in the WORLD and I'd have to agree. Which makes it sort of surprising (or maybe not) that there are a few of the same, boring, recycled complaints year a...

Cubase -> MIDI -> Quantize setup

That allows you to tweak the parameters of it, the swing, where it 'snaps to', the magneticness of the snap and all that kind of thing. And has presets (like 1/64, 1/32, 1/26 etc). Although I haven't used this much at all in SX...
