hey ppl ,

every 1 knows what happened in this country ,feel sorry for those who lost everything and those who died that way

point is ,

can we do a PARTY , and donate money for this ppl and for this country ?

i m sure there r promoters that they already have connections example with concils for PARKS in sydney, melb , and d rest , is a good point that big events promoters come up join forces and create something big to help others ,, if every 1 does something or gives something little it will happen ,,

maybe i m dreamin

taughts and suggestion r welcome to create this thing

boom ,

i was thinking to suggest a fund raiser party (not some massive thing.. but something relatively easy to organise and facilitate) ill see what venues etc i can find and who is up for supporting it (may need sound systems, decks/mixer and of course djs).

its easier to get a venue on a wed or thursday night... you all up for supporting a party mid-week instead of the traditional friday or saturday night?

and we stop the music before sunset and we collect how much we can ,,

it a free entrance so every 1 comes ,and every 1 donate how much he wants

local dj and artists are in for sure ,,

sound system we need ,, and perimission from the councill

Indeed a good idea.

Perry park should be sweet without council permission but you’d think they would approve it if you asked anyway.

I’d be well keen to help organise this, but sadly overrun with work and psyfari plannings…

You could talk to the rangers and ask them to unlock the powerbox in the toilet block also, then you wouldn’t have to worry about a geni and fuel.

Very best of luck to you guys if you do it, surely every cent raised for fire victims is needed, poor buggers:(

I am in the process of organising a Canberra based appeal party, I will post it in the ACT section when it's good to go

thats exactly what we did for the tsunami except we threw in a free BBQ and stopped the music at 1am. $3000 got raised. probably the best way to go id say.

ok. we need organisation and movement.

Personally I can't do a school night.. lui u keen to do the weekend? sat b4 raja ram or sun after? that is the question/

if we go the w/end ;-

I will co-ordinate the donations as with the tsumai benefit - Bindi, are you in again - you are the best person to do this). Can anyone else offer locked in assistance?

perry park seems sensible
we need
- someone to contact council (I can do this tomorrow)
- system + transport
- sasha to set it up
-people to play
- pete
- bbq?

plus oher things... if u are totally in, please stand up and be counted now and add to thread what u can/will do/
