something groove and swinging to make the day seem blissfull!!
after 1 I'd need a boost up, something bit hard and punchy...
Makes me wanna dance ...
after 3 I probably get a bit tired and need to call out the inner power feet.
Something bit tribal and very organic .... oh, and very delic all the way...
after 5 or 6 it's time for some carefull placed melodys...
or simply just drum'n bass to shake off

What is played after 1pm depends considerably on what's been played before 1pm.
Doesn't ANYONE have a vague concept of a 'psychedelic journey' any more?
So sad to see everything that so many crews worked to create just ignored by the new generations.
</jaded>
Personally my current favorite journey concept would work thus:
11pm - 1am: Minimal crunchy night (Zenon style)
1am - 3am: Psychedelic full on night (Hujaboy / Bliss / CPU / Absolum)
3am - 5am: Intense night (Kindzadza / Israhell style)
5am - 7am: Pounding dawn (Sirius Isness / Space Tribe / Eskimo)
7am - 9am: Power morning (Spun / TIP / Hommega)
9am - 11am: Neo full-on (Nano / Neurobiotics / Turbo Trance / Alchemy)
11am - 2pm: Progressive psytrance (Iboga / Digital Structures)
2pm - 5pm: Progressive trance/electro (D-Nox + Beckers style)
Personally I'm curious as to how many DJs in Sydney are capable of playing more than one or two of these styles. For example I can't even count on one hand DJs that I'm aware of that can play power morning or neo full-on sets - anyone want to enlighten me?

Theres plenty of Speaker Hugger DJs who can do power morning still, no?
And even though they are Newy based Psynide & Daheen can do some wicked power morning sets too.
REGEN and d'Psyfa also have various full on DJs too.
Re Neo-Full On, can't say i can think of many off hand who are based in Sydney, interstate yes, but local, not really.
I'd say Sydney/Newcastle/Wollongong DJs are largely broken up into the following groups:
- Progressive trance/house morning
- Power/Full-on Morning
- Full-on Night
- Dark Psy / Twisted Night
Minimal crunchy night, I can only think of Simon for (off hand)
Prog night I can't think of anyone for that actually specializes in it (well not at the level ive heard Cairns and Melbourne DJs do it anyhow)
Obviously there are others who cover other styles as well, but i did say largely.

I think Alot of DJ's get lumped into one pile or another and rarely get the chance to show what they can bring to other areas of the party. Promotors tend to give dj's the same sets (locally anyway) and rarely let them explore other styles.... I agree totally with your journey concept, but sometimes the croud likes a change..... somthing they didn't expect, in stead of the same journey every event. Other country's do the oppisite then us Day at night and night at day

not bad. my favourite journey concept would be similar but with a few minor adjustments. if it was up to me id have it like this....
11pm - 3am: Minimal crunchy night and dark psygressive (Zenon style) and psychedelic tech trance (horns and hoofs style) building up to move into full on night music.
3am - 5am: twisted psychedelic night (jahbo, derango, richard ahlberg)
5am - 7am: psychedelic inspiring dawn music (twisted records, sundance records)
7am - 10am: either Neo fullon (alchemy, turbo trance) or if people want to have some real fun then id suggest some funky psychedelic morning stuff (neuron compost/hired goonz, loopus in fabula, finnish stuff)
10am - 12am: psygressive morning
12pm - 2pm: tribally Progressive
2pm - close: progressive with electro influence
I'd love to see some funky psychedelic morning stuff at as many outdoors as physically possible. Shame almost all the good artists/djs who do it only live up Byron way.

Nicely put Jaimz! I entirely agree with that general lineup structure, I think this is the ideal balance of music to create a good journey throughout a party.

One in the morning? I want the jiggly sounds that hot chicks with big tits make when they jiggle.
That is all.
That is all.

Description of Scorb from his debut album
"Deep within the terraced streets of Leicester UK pulses the psychedelic heartbeat of Scorb aka Ady Connor. Ambivalent Records are proud to present his first album. No stranger to the psychedelic scene, Ady has already had a number of tracks released on Ambivalent compilations including a remix of Deviant Species' Beaver Inverter. He also has a reputation as a seamless psychedelic DJ and has been involved in many musical projects including Lysurge DJz (Two DJ’s, two mixers, three decks and FX)..."
Releases by Scorb: http://www.saikosounds.com/english/sear ... _str=scorb (aside from Ambivalent and LPS Records, he has also released on the Australian label Digital Psionics, Yellow Sunshine Explosion, and other record labels.)
And from Ambivalent Records website:
"Scorb
Ady Connor (Scorb aka DJ Yod) is an artist and DJ for both Ambivalent and Last Possible Solution (LPS). Ady also performs Graphic Design duties for both labels including Cd covers, Party promotion and Merchandise.
