Hey folks.

I have just set up a Facebook group for our crew, called Sideproject Events. We have traditionally been a Canberra based crew but will shortly be doing events in Victoria too, hence the relevance to this forum.

The challenge is this:

If we get 1000 members, I will walk from Canberra to Goulburn one weekend, a distance of about 90 km.

If we get 10,000 members,

then,

well, do you remember that song "And I would walk 500 miles and I would walk 500 more, just to be the man who walked 500 miles" etc, etc"???

Yes, that's right, I will walk 500 miles and raise money for charity in the process if we get 10,000 members.

I define myself as a person of integrity, so therefore I am totally committed to the challenge. However, I am asking that you demonstrate a similar level of integrity, such that any people who you get to join the group are people who might, one day, actually come to a Sideproject party. The aim of setting up a group after all was to promote our events.

To put the challenge in perspective:

Rainbow Serpent has approximately 4000 people in its group.
Burning Man has approximately 10,000.
