Im new so dont know if ive missed a section or if one exists. <or even if i have a right to start 'suggesting'
But if its not been suggested already, an 'introduce yourself' forum is always good. Gives foriegners like me a chance to say hi to everyone at once.
Peace,
N

Crap idea. No one but foreigners would go there. And we don't take too kindly to them round these here parts. What with their fancy ways and smelly food. The best way to introduce yourself is to start a thread in the off topic section about UFO's or Pleiadians or Mother Shabooboo and her hollow earth. Everyone will come say hi.

And no, you have no right to suggest anything.

O, and welcome. Where in Manchester? My ex gf was from Horwich (Nr Bolton) so i spent a fair bit of time in the area. You'll find a lively and unique scene in australia with some of the best outdoor action in ze vorld. You've come to the right place regarding promoters etc who i'm sure will contact you in good time.

Peace out

I think it's a good idea. We had one on the old forum and it had a little thing about ourselves... likes and dislikes of music and what not. I thought it was nice anyway because it let you know a little about the person too.

Barry posted one of those type of threads in off topic a while back too... one of those quizzy type things but it wasn't an introduction thread rather a "few facts about me" thread.

it's a great idea, i don't see any reason why it's a crap idea.. and it will encourage newbies to post and intro themselves rather than run away screaming after reading a few samarai jack posts :P  8)

Come on. That never happens. It's always "Your SamuraiJack? Oh." The end.

Or like Fiba Optix "Hey man, I want to talk to you about a few things." "Man. It's only the internet." "Oh. Yeah!" The end again.

Except for Tiano who thought it would be a good idea to do kung fu moves in the air like a complete retard. That was pretty funny. Like, really, really, really funny.

I agree. Meeting people from forums is highly over-rated. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's always cool putting a face to a name and it's great meeting new people, but it's never exciting as you think it will be. Cos, except for SJ, no one is a dickhead offline, so the conversation is rarely about the same stuff as the forums. Which I think is a good thing. It shows that people don't actually give a fuck and are capable of having a decent conversation! You actually get to know the REAL person, which is A LOT better than the fuckwits you see on here.

Having said that, I must admit that having spoken online a bit, even if it wasn't really "you" and your opinions, it does help break the ice a bit and it's something to fall back on if the conversation dies and gets a bit awkward!

its kind of funny but this shit is not very serious in the be all and end all stakes ,neither is being part of a silly herd listening to plain predictable music .i enjoy going to parties and hearing "oom aar ,thats fluro hero hes so responsible for my drug addicted state and the way the world is !".
i enjoy being a scapegoat so there no sense in me playing it down .its a great pleasure to provide feul for peoples paranoid fantasies.

it would be funny if fights ensued and claret was spilled but the worst that happens really is backstabbers lose spine and suck arse <against their usually displayed character>or a little man might glare at you for a few months without any particular reason.
in plain sense its just more youth trying to be someone and saying whatever it takes to maintain an image .being a closed small society "doof" has to recycle rumours and paranoias, which resonate due to poor relevance to the outside community. .drug paranoia is really funny if you are a bit sober.ive enjoyed meeting everyone <in some way>and am a bit sorry i cant participate more often due to the overly commercialised nature of what doof has become .

if you are indeed having discomfort understanding all this -your thoughts are being stimulated at least.
good luck.

Your finest post to date, in my opinion.

Be serious. Who on earth is going to start punching on over the internerd? As for the little man glaring, how funny is that?

Ha ha Roger.....I wouldn't be so hard on chics on the internet, considering that some of the guys that hang out in white vans and/or tents at doofs and, in the presence of some 'chics', try really hard to keep up with everyday chit chat, or even challenging/ entertaining conversation, often, actually, most often, cannot even muster a reply.....

And, I'm not talking about you, of course....

Felicious is it true that once when youu ran out of food, you subsisted entirely on a diet of stamp glue from your stamp collection? and is it furthermore true that your tongue became seriously abbraised, severely affecting the quality of your freestlye street corner rap battles?
