SPACE TRIBE

OLLI WISDOM: Originally from England, now living in the rainforest near Byron Bay, Australia, has been a pioneer of psychedelic trance for many years. In the early 80’s, Olli was the singer in the theatrical Goth/Glam band "The Specimen" and ran the famous London goth club “The Batcave“. After the band split up in 1986, Olli went travelling in Asia and in 1988 came to Koh Phangan in Thailand where he first encountered the fantastic electro-driven wild psychedelic parties on the beach. Instantly hooked, he immersed himself in the music and never looked back. He stayed there for 2 years, DJing, and set up a small studio making tracks for the parties, before moving to Goa, India. Over the next 4 years, Olli spent his time mostly in Goa, but was now starting to travel around making parties in other places (San Francisco, Switzerland, UK, Japan), spreading the word and turning people on. In 1993, Olli, his brother Miki, and Richmond started Space Tribe clothing in Bali. The fractal fluoro party gear was an instant success, and now you can see it at parties all over the planet. In 1995, the first Space Tribe tracks were hatched in the studio with Simon Posford (Hallucinogen/Shpongle) and everything flowed from there. Olli moved out to the rainforest in Byron Bay in Australia, and set up the Rainforest Space Base Studio. Space Tribe released their first album, 'Sonic Mandala' on Spirit Zone in 1996 and since then, Space Tribe has released at least an album a year. In 2004, Space Tribe Music was set up as a record label providing an outlet for Space Tribe releases and compilation albums. Space Tribe are also making many tracks in collaboration with other artists including Absolum, Sirius Isness, X-Dream, GMS, Menog, CPU, Psywalker and especially Electric Universe, working under the name ESP. Space Tribe parties have lifted the spirit and tweaked the synapses in Australia, Brazil, Japan, South Africa, Israel, America, Thailand, India, Ibiza, Bali, England, Germany, Hungary, Holland, France, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and many more places. From Burning Man to Voov Experience, from the mountains in Japan to the beach in Goa... Next party? Liquid Sun, Canberra!!!

SIAQUA

TOM ANDREWS: Phaser, Mr Horse. Tom has studied music since the age of 6, when he started playing recorder. This soon led to the saxophone, which in turn led to studying music at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School. After completing his education there, he went on to study Sound Engineering at RMIT. After the completion of his studies, Tom started work at Ritzland Music where he was music editor for The Secret Life of Us and Neighbours, where he remains today. With his technical expertise and musical knowledge, he brings a fresh and exciting approach to writing music, which adds to the Siaqua sound.

PETER SUWARA: The filter prince, Leprechaun, a golden extraordinaire! Peter needs no introduction. He was born into this world with excitement, enthusiasm and passion for entertainment. Siaqua defines Peter's energetic, uplifting and flavouresome joy. Introduced to entertainment and parties at the early young age of 5 in Athens, Greece, nothing has stopped this lad from full power. Helping Siaqua get off the ground 6 years ago, Peter is involved at all levels of production, from composition, mixing, mastering and logisitics. Peter's first introduction into the amazing world of trance was at 15 when he fell in love with the work of Brian St. James (SPIRITUALIST - White). The first CD he had procured from his uncle, who noticed the penchant of energy and enthusiasm in the young man. From then he swept the party scene throughout Australia. At 18, his love for trance took him to meeting the boys of Astral, who gave great counsel and guidance towards the possibilities of writing music in the trance scene, after which he did his own solo music production for a number of years, playing at house parties and small events.

HISTORY: Tom and Pete finally met during the early days of psytrance in Australia. It was the year 1999, at a dark, dirty rave. The two bumped into each other through the meistro Zlatko of the New New Order. Their first big break was offered by earl of fnord, who threw the boys a lifeline at their festival. They have no idea what kind of roller coaster ride they were in for. From Byron to India, Siaqua quickly swept through the psytrance scene. The latest collection of killer tunes are set to explode next year as the duo prepare to finally release their first album. After years of practice and observation, they have tapped into the secret magic energy of the outdoor dance scene to bring about the next schnitzel sensations that will rock your dance floors! BRING IT ON! Respect to all those schnitzel peeps out there!

Servants of Sound and Side Project are happy to annouce a new inclusion to the "line-up" for Liquid Sun. One which we believe is extremely important for an outdoor event during a lovely Canberra summer.

We have secured the services of the Chameleon Ice Creamery. This boutique ice creamery has won gold and silver awards at the Sydney Easter show and provides hand made Ice Cream, Sorbet, Gelati and 16 flavours of milk shake. Apparently they even have a hand made Guinness ice cream as well and numerous more traditonal varieties :)

Also be reminded that $21 early-bird tickets are only available until the 1st November or until sold out. Check http://www.servantsofsound.org for more details.

Final lineup details should be available by the end of next week.

See you guys in December.

Yes. Unfortunately, by the time Regen and our crew both realised we had clashed we were both commited to the date and couldn't change. Both crews have learnt a valuable lesson and we will be keeping each other alot more informed in the future.

Either way, its not like Melbourne, where you have 16 events at once and 5 guys hate each other, we should embrace our diversity. In cbr we have about 360000 ppl we can promote our event to, so it's not really a big deal. Just a shame is all, this happens all the time though.

That's an excellent lineup right there, certainly would be my choice of what to go to on that date.

Goodluck guys, the party will be mad 8)

Yeah it is going to be a good one. Canberra doesn't see something like this very often.

and it shouldn't happen all the time. and with better communication between crews in future things like this will happen less frequently, hopefully not at all. this is what will help build our psycheldelic community. it's too easy to say it happens all the time, or it's a shame, or we have so many people in camberra, sydney or wherever so it's no big deal. in fact we could do away with such concepts and start thinking about the surrounding community as a whole not which town people are from.

cause guess what? we are one big tribe of freaks. it doesn't matter where you're from, who you are, what you do, what you look like, or how old you think you are are, or whatever. if you love it and have a huge smile on your face, you're tribe, thtas what i love most about doofs.

so if we're one tribe we can look out for one another. if we are unified,
we could combine our powers and summon captain planet!

' captain planet...he's our hero...gunna take pollution down to zero.. !"
