CONQUEST presents
Hello Spring, Goodbye Winter!

CONQUEST is here to bring in the spring time vibe! Say bye, bye to winter and hello to spring with a mish-mash of all things Future Trance, Psy, Progressive and Minimal!

Featuring
ESKIMO (Phantasm Records, UK)
At the grand old age of 22, Eskimo aka Junya is one of the most promising of the new generation of trance producers out there. Having released his debut artist album "Can You Pick Me Up" aged 17, Eskimo was almost immediately catapulted amongst the trance elite, add to this his scorching DJ Sets as DJ Junya, that he had been playing worldwide since he was 13, Eskimo is without a doubt one of the most exciting British artists today. His unique production skills and ability to put together a class-A belter saw Eskimo’s tunes begin to show up in the sets of psy trance DJs across the globe. By the time he performed his first live set 6 months after the album dropped his repertoire had trebled and so had his ability. Landmark remixes, many still unreleased due to copyright wrangles, from this time included some of the scenes biggest players such as Infected Mushroom and Skazi, but it was his unofficial remix of The Prodigy "Voodoo People" that sealed his reputation on the global dance floor. When this struck everyone knew who Eskimo was.

Yeah glasses, awesome. What a fucking superficial bullshit response.

Like I am sure your party will be great, woo yeah! :)

But you have to realise the implications of supporting a cult member.

I'm sure The Home nightclub will be packed to the rafters for this. Conquest usually bring out the cheesiest top billing internationals and the support lineup is generally predictable.

I'm wondering if they will have a stage big enough for Eskimo (lots of room behind the decks) so he can do his moves. Rumor is a well known Northern NSW artist and label owner has got nothing on him when it comes to busting the moves.

For the nostalgic Eskimo was to appear a few fnords back and didn't appear as did GMS , but Eskimo had totally different circumstances. So I read somewhere.

As for Gil Paradox, or any other artist. What faith they have etc as long as it within the law has nothing to do with this production? or does it? then is it anybodies business? How about putting into perspective Scientology and how many actors etc are Scientologists? Yet millions whom don't want a bar of Scientology etc still go watch and support the films these actors do roles in. I think it is highly hypocritical to point a particular person out when the essence of doing this has a far greater picture as I have just tried to point out. My personal view is that this production is not promoting nor in anyway advertising a Cult etc.Unlike Uforia last year. Anyway Gil Paradox is DJ / artist and payed for services to do so . It's not like he is playing hidden encrypted teachings that will induce everyone to rip off there clothes and start a mass orgy and then be inspired to regular cult meetings and hand over a % of their incomes.

Anyway how many people went to Maitreya? How many left when they saw this stall?
This photo is a classic pic from the last Maitreya festival.

great photos of the festival
F all was said about it in all the reviews.

Will be worth going to this night considering who will not be [FAIL] should be a huge night extra cheese

Hmm I dont see how giving him a set has anything to do with supporting his beliefs... ie: should we start screening all DJ's for their beliefs in case they arent compatible with ours?

As long as he plays music & doesnt preach to the crowd I couldnt care less what he believes. :)

For sure!

I am more concerned about it being on Sunday and at home...

I just hate work on Monday all fucked up, but if it worked for Astrix then I can understand why the exact same formula is being used again.... Exact.

Seems a certain somebody has lost their tongue - but can find others parts more easily to respond on this forum.

I have one thing to say... :killah:
Go Gil Paradox. Hope you also bring your female Raelian friends with ya considering they won't have biatch face in the crowd wanting all the attention.

I might just be flying down to Sydney on Business around this time and pop in to check this out. Sure the boys down the G S Double Bay won't mind me not popping in.

One must bow to the net persona behind this-
But you have to realise the implications of supporting a cult member.
But the Queen of attention has her own little cult following of Australiens and if you don't play by her rules - then this is the result. God (oops you can't say that because the self appointed royalty Queen doesn't believe in him) we are supposed treat the Queen as if she owns runs and pays the bills for this sight.

Seriously I know I mock the cheese that Conquest bring out. But obviously the formula they use as mentioned previously works. To be fair they would be introducing a whole lot of new people to the music, (clubbers etc). There is fors and against this very commercialised approach. Though this is just the direction it is progressing due to internet and reality is the music isn't really underground anymore. The more popular this music gets and $ the more the commercial major labels will be putting pressure on Gov'ts for changes in laws and distribution etc, as it will be seeing revenue it is not getting. The world is being over consumed by Greed. Rumblings and political maneuvering within this scene is getting more aggressive as ever. Due to the internet and people's tall poppy bashing and desire to feel special as if they rule the roost of a internet forum. Only their opinions count (attitude) because while their education and IQ may be on a higher level then others ' they claim to be smarter then anybody else'
 Queen Bee.
Gil Paradox is a DJ nothing less nothing more- to personalise what this person 's faith is . Is purely a FAIL attempt as it has nothing to do with him being on this program. What I believe or not (faith or religion) believe has nothing to do with the fact why I go and listen to this or not. As I said earlier nothing in Conquest says that it is sponsored by the Raelians.

Really I'm sure in private Conquest would take the reaction from the Queen as complete FAIL and laughing privately because they know they can bring out the most popular acts in the world and people will come. That is the bottom line and not some pathetic comment on a forum that fuck all events are posted and people waste time with nationally.

If you not noticed the most popular DJ's and artists that have made it big DON'T go playing into the internet forum games using their DJ name to bignote themselves, nor do they need there log ins high lighted in blue for example. Thus is just a reflection of their own wankery net persona. Nor do they constantly change their log in name and everybody knows who it is anyway. Professionals are just that and don't show the insecurity to perturbed by bullshit comments such as
But you have to realise the implications of supporting a cult member.
See anybody notice a reaction by Gil Paradox ? exactly people will go and many will enjoy/not enjoy but most will enjoy what he does play. He has acted professionally here and Conquest laughed it off. So IMO ups to them. Respect.

Supporting him as an artist means supporting him as a person.

It's kinda like how buying anything from Gloria Jeans means supporting the Hillsong Church and the brainwashing, emotional manipulation, and financial theft from vulnerable women at this place (which is financially supported by Hillsong) http://www.mercyministries.com.au/

Were any of the highly talented female dj's considered for Gil's set?

^Quote of the day^^^^^

If somebody feels threatened by a persons personal belief and is performing a style of music totally unrelated. Then all I got to say the person feeling threatened is very insecure. Actually they have just given free publicity to the belief . Daaaaannnnngggggggggg

Quite amusing to see the fuss about Gill's religosity.

Particularly when it is a fact that Gill is NOT a Raelian. In fact, he is not affiliated with any belief system.
Never have I met a more open minded, understanding human being who simly loves music more than any god (alien or otherwise).

If the last gig conquest gig at Home is any indication then Eskimo will be killah. Not to mention Orpheus, who's style is so well suited as a warm up to the main act.

Actually, surely Orpheus is ready for an album release soon? Maybe he could chuck out a few demo's to the crowd????????????????

Was a Realian, untill I took what I needed from it and moved on to the next thing. Surprisingly there was no effort to try to win me back, and everything is cool ( i still have love and respect for that mob and am sympathetic to their cause of building an embassy for extraterrestrials).

Having said that, the one of best things I gained from the whole raelian experience was helping Gill with his production and discovering for myself someone who delivers the goods (in a scene that is has too many dreamers, and not enough do-ers.)
Now having moved to Sydney, finding a person such as this is invaluable for someone I can rely apon for many of the large scale productions that will be taking place (not just here but overseas) in the leadup to 2012.

Stay tuned..............

Gil put on one party. Woo. There are plenty of people in the scene who put in the hard yards to produce events. They are pretty nice people too.
