I spent my weekend working, at one point I counted I had a 18 hour day. I also worked on Parklife which had real professional (non-corruptible) security, and you were not permitted to drink alcohol or take illegal drugs whilst on the worksite, and I had to quote my construction site OH&S "Green" card number to enter the site and Workcover OH&S ticket number so I could operate machinery. The whole thing was covered by public liability, which unfortunately is increasing becoming compulsory today. There was a large first aid centre on site. The production standard of the commercial festival was excellent, and it was "speced" correctly so sound and lighting crews could begin work without providing their own auxiliary power equipment. I was even paid standard industry rates and employees superannuation to boot.
Most importantly, we were given GRATITUDE!
I stand by my review of last year's Dragon Dreaming. It was hard but fair, and I only wrote and posted it to show how much I care about all of you, regardless of what my readers may think. I am sorry you cannot understand my meaning or intent, but I am not sorry for telling the truth, and I will continue my life to fight for it, as will we all!
