Australian born London Psytrance DJ and live act Compressor, is James England's dance floor smashing alter ego and can be found almost every weekend behind the decks somewhere doing his part to smash it up. Having built a solid name over the last 12 years as a DJ and producer starting in the legendary London underground psy party scene in 2000, with the likes of Scorb, EVP, Sinerider, Digoa, AMD, and Dejavoo. Over the years he has built his career to playing for sell-out crowds at London's Massive O2 Arena, side by side with the likes of Infected Mushroom, Astrix, Skazi, Talamasca and many, many more.

With both a powerful presence on stage and the ability to read the crowds, James is now considered one of the most up and coming psy-trance dj and live acts around. Over the years the Compressor project has created a unique sound encompassing all full power elements of trance, as well as incorporating influences from various musical styles from his roots, including industrial, drum and bass, electro, hip hop, breaks, nu-metal techno & more. Indeed, the Compressor sound is a mixture of varied modern electronic genres, with original funky pumping bass lines and toe-stomping energy, coupled with gritty aggressive sounds and raw power.

TERRFRACTYL (Vertigo/Sundance Records) Melbourne
Image
http://www.soundcloud.com/terrafractyl
Felix Greenlees aka Terrafractyl has been playing and writing music for as long as he can remember. Brought up on a diet of Classical, Opera and Jazz he eventually went on to play Bassoon in several professional orchestras around Australia.
He has also played piano for most of his life, and was instantly captivated by the psychedelic music he heard at dance parties in the late 90's, and began to try his hand at putting some together himself.
Since then Felix never looked back, and he is now one of the most prominent and sought after electronic music performers in Australia.
He has perormed at all of the major festivals in Australia, including Rainbow Serpent festival, Tribeadelic, Cairns Winter solstice, Dragon Dreaming Festival etc etc .and has been in constant demand for the past 3 years all around the country to play at parties of all shapes and sizes.
Most recently Felix played at festivals for Vertigo records in Russia and Ukraine, and is soon leaving for a tour of India and South Africa.
His Debut album was released on Sundance Records in April last year and He has released tracks on compilations for 5 labels around the world including Sundance, Vertigo, Adapted, Regen, and Psynuematix records. He also has upcoming releases on Psylife Music, Sundance and Up records.

ONETASTYMORSEL (Zenon records - Melbourne)
Image
http://www.soundcloud.com/onetastymorsel

OneTastyMorsel is the solo project of Paul van Morsel from Melourne, Australia. After the release of his first album Illogitechnicality, the OneTastyMorsel sound has continued to evolve. Drawing influences from other artists on Zenon records, Morsel has managed to blend an eclectic mix of minimal, proggressive trance, techno and electronica to form the sound that he is becoming so well known for today. Having recently spent time in the studio, crafting hours of new music for his upcoming new album "Distorted Perception of Sound", Paul is back with a new evolved OneTastyMorsel sound that will leave audiences wanting more.

---------------------------------------------------

BARYY KOOTA (Adapted records - Melbourne)
Image
http://www.soundcloud.com/barry-koota

Barry Koota delivers a grouse and cheeky bucket-load twang of glitchy funk that stretches any gurn and makes heads not consistently. With the sneakily clever and creative placement of sounds and samples that comes from making prog as One Tasty Morsel, this project is a well-rounded product of a variety of production experiences and a large range of influences. The result is a bouncy and refined sound that progresses a lot more rapidly and subtly than many others writing at this tempo, thus pushing the boundaries and conventions of glitch-hop. As Barry Koota emerges as a driving force of Adapted Records in 2012, dance floors, gurns and head nods are prone to become more large and ridiculous when taking in these well-constructed grooves

---------------------------------------------------

SLYTRANCE (Darwin)
Image
http://www.soundcloud.com/slytrance
The intention is to create an inner-space within the listener, in order for them to explore their own minds and challenge their internal programing. sound design intelligently organised to induce an emotional response.
it's thick, solid bass-lines; twisted, brain-bending synthwork; lush, dreamy melodies; then peppered with vocal samples hand-picked to inspire ideas and concepts you may not have thought about before; all combining together to create a fresh new approach to a rapidly aging and sadly diluted genre.
it's digital mysticism, each individual sound delicately and purposefully crafted to guide the listener's journey through both 'black' AND 'white', while still leaving enough 'grey' room for interpretation on a specific personal level. it can be challenging and confronting, but at the same time strangely comforting, and very human.
it's music with a soul, written for the soul...

Image
http://www.soundcloud.com/algenon

The Ryanosaurus project injects many different influences into a charging mix of phat baselines, glitchy soundscapes, emotive melody and a sly playfulness.
While Ryanosaurus encapsulates multiple genres, the project is mainly focused on wobbling along the line between full on and progressive psytrance.

LEGACY (NoQualms - Cairns)
Image
http://www.soundcloud.com/legacy-1

http://www.soundcloud.com/jekyll-1/tracks

Coming from the wilds of north queensland, JeKylL is a fresh earthy twist on psychedelic progtrance. With a love for deep and grindy bass, mystical melodies, tribal beats, and future grunge sounds, this is music designed to take you on a dusty, spiritual head bangin stompin journey

ILLUME (NoQualms - Cairns)
Image
http://www.soundcloud.com/lucyjay

After taking in years of intense experience and influence of creativity in the victorian doof scene, i came across one form of communication that speaks everything, something so raw it manipulates, translates and most of all creates.
Illume was born.
After moving to tropical north queensland the sound of illume began to develop.
Emotive melodys and grooves are the basis of the illume sound.
At the age of 19 and as one of the few aussie female deep psy prog producers, illume brings a diverse, femanine sound.
Aiming to grasp your inner most deep being as we exchange minds, with a raw, deep emotional experience of sound.

CRETEN (3rd eye - NNSW)
Image
http://www.soundcloud.com/creten-1

It all started on one dark night when a group of young lads decided to go out to a party in the bush, on gettin there they weren't to sure bout it but by the time the sun come up they were hooked on the awsome sounds they had heard, it was then that Creten decided he loved the music and wanted to start djing. So at the age of 16 he started playing at parties in and around the north coast of NSW. After playing drums for most of his childhood One thing led to another and after a few years of watching his good mates (DOUBLE VISION-POSITIVE THOUGHT & SPLIFFUN) make some totally tilt tracks that he dicided it was time to get a computer and start making some of his own music. It was then that the project CRETEN started... After playing at some big festivals and parties such as EXODUS -NIMBIN MARDI-GRASS - SPLENDOR IN THE GRASS & LOST THE PLOT he made a name for himself.... After releasing his debut album DYNOMANIAC in 2011 with 3RD EYE PRODUCTIONS he is now working on some new fresh tracks for the near future..

---------------------------------------------------

DAHEEN (Regen rec - Sydney)
Image
http://www.soundcloud.com/daheen

Daheen enjoys writing tunes of psytrance and downbeat flavours. His tracks often have a quirky feel, using many sounds from "the symphony of life" that we hear all around us. He also enjoys playing his music to a crowd with his laptop, keyboard and guitar and for his pystrance sets he incorporates a theatrical performance using different masks / costumes to match the theme of each track. This has in turn influenced his writing and he now often gains inspiration for a track from a great costume idea ;-)

----------------------------------------------------

FIDJIT (ANOTHERPSYDE/GLITCHY TONIC REC - outback
Image
http://www.soundcloud.com/yobimusic

After leaving Galaxy NGC 3079 on an exploratory voyage through the playground of outer space, the being known as Fidjit found himself faced with an almighty Quasar, the most destructive force in the known Universe. Traveling at 4/5 the speed of light has its flaws and Fidjit was only able to stop his Disc 25 light years from the Galactic monster. The unspeakable gravity and energy emitted from the Quasar left his SpaceDisc in a state of malfunction. The attempt to head home was heavily impeded by the loss of navigational gear and one Quantum Thruster and Fidjit found himself way off course.
After a milennia of cruising and searching for a signal, finally, there was a faint blip on the radar. He homed in and headed straight for the distant planet. After all this time, not to mention the damage from the Quasar, the Disc was becoming very fragile. Fidjit had to get to this planet before space consumed him.
Eventually a spiral galaxy became visible and soon enough the planet's signal was strong enough to locate. Just in time too, the Disc was beginning to malfunction beyond control and all he could do was aim directly at the planet and hope for a reasonable collision...

Waking up 50 million light years from home is a sensation no being should ever have to endure and on this day Fidjit had never felt so alone and vulnerable. After climbing out of the wrecked Disc he surveyed the area and was amazed by the various shapes and colours of plant and animal life, particularly the greens. In the distance there was a faint but deep throbbing, so he headed carefully towards the sound. A he got closer, the sound just kept getting louder, it seemed there was no limit on how loud and large this entity could be. All of a sudden there was another being standing in front of him, wide-eyed and completely frozen in shock at what he was seeing. Fidjit thought fast and decided that this creature would probably be a reasonable and inconspicuous host for him and in a bright flash of technicolour the two beings became a single entity.
Fidjit quickly became accustomed to his new body and headed onward towards the sound. Before long, through the foliage he saw hundreds of these beings that he had merged with and thanked the stars for picking the right creature. They were all moving wildly in front of big black boxes that seemed to be the source of the beating noise. Becoming more and more curious, Fidjit headed towards the others..
Once amongst these crazy creatures of the bush, with the noise boxes pumping into his body he found an energy flowing and pulsating through the area that was unlike any he head seen or felt in his time throughout the Universe. It seemed that this energy had drawn him here from the furthest reaches of space without him even knowing it. He was one with it. He was home again.

ALEX (Up rec)

Good to see the jailbird has come back, last I heard he fucked off to Cairns due to a possess stolen goods and ride in a stolen conveyance charge then got picked up for rooting a couple of 14 year old girls one Friday.

He got back on the pipe apparently, stole some guys van to pay off some not insignificant drug debts then fucked off to FNQ before the blues got him and he breached his previous court order for low level street dealing in NNSW.

Heard the label is going well, as an aside :)

That is reassuring, KV2 does have the potential to represent quality sound unlike some other "PA" systems.

You are as flushed as an orange on a public forum, not a capital offence per se but certainly instructive.

Is he on some form of "register" or court order that prevents him using a computer ?

I can think of one court ordered register in particular that would necessitate his not replying.

Arne (see post above) posted a location on last year's New Psycle Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/events/233268256731668/): http://goo.gl/maps/paU3a

I have no idea whether it's the correct location, can someone verify this? (It's along Putty Road near Richmond). Thanks.
