Wow what can I say. This party had the best vibe except it was FKN FREEZING. The snow added a beautiful touch to it though. Nice work guys :) Hope you got enough donations. I had the best time :killah:

So it did snow there? Cool! Pix?

A friend up at Sunny Corner said 4cm of snow was on the ground, and it was a possible 10cm at Oberon.

yeah it snowed several times!! i loved how the little camp fires eventually made it closer to the dance floor throughout the night so everyone could still have a dance and keep warm! wicked party guys, i had tonnes of fun! well done to all involved and everyone who stuck it out through the cold! :-)

Whoah! friggin awesome party that one.

A wonderful example of a bush gathering with the bestest of peoples:)

quite enjoyed all the music I heard. one set that sticks out in memory was bill and ryan’s live set, simply perfect music for that point in the party:)

lights, sound, decor, etc was all great, heck pretty much everything was perfect.

haha except for the farking cold! That was intense!

we left as it started getting colder again on sunday, hope everyone packing up didn’t freeze too much, that woulda been rough for sure.

a job well done to all involved!

In the words of phil "Man, snows fucking old news. Snow used to be cool but now its just gay!" lol

Was fucking crazy driving out there. Started as rain at mt tomah and by the time we got to dargon it was snowing! We couldn't believe it!

I had some super fun, though the cold was pretty well fucked! My fingers were hurting BADLY for most of the time I was there!
Tel enjoyed it too, once I got her out of the car lol.

All in all a splendid splendid party. Everyone was great, there was no bullshit and much fun was had!
A good bit of a warm up for Dragon Dreaming!

My only comment of annoyance (c'mon, I always have at least ONE :P ) relates not to our party, but to the other people who use the forest. Really annoys me that other people can't do as good of a job as we all do to take all our crap with us when we leave. On our way out we came across an abandoned camp site, covered in garbage, and their fire was still going! And it was blowing a fucking gale! I don't know how people can be so fucking stupid!
Needless to say I stopped and put it out. Unfortunately had no garbage bags to clean it up. And I would have been there for fucking hours.

Stupid messy bogan idiots!

Anyways, this only reinforces my love for parties and for all the fantastic people that go to them. And this party was indeed a good example of what its all about.
Fun times! See you at dragon dreaming! 8)

oh, I might have some photos up in a while too

thanks to alexis and his girly for letting us warm up in their truck, and aleksander for letting us sit in his car with the heater on full for several hours hehe (thanks for the cds too!)...thanks stevo for a fun set, always enjoy mixing with ya, looking forward to jangness!

^^Damn straight chewy!

I went for a wander on Sunday morning and much of that place has been really trashed. Much worse than when we were there last year. Rubbish and tyres all throughout that waterway, and piles of crap left at campsites everywhere.

Farking downright shameful really.
Tis such a pity considering how pristine that area would have been before…

I’ve often thought it would be great to do a “clean up Australia day” party there with council assistance, ie some big skip bins, maybe they could provide a geni etc, and get everyone out there to clean it up.
alas, I’m pretty sure they’d rather just have the place left trashed rather than deal with us. Much easier for them…

You should have seen the place when the Foresty camp was there. The Doof community had a chance to have a full on Doof village with festival fields, kitchens, dorm accomodation rooms, houses, workshops, indoor stadium, 1000s od acres of bushland, 20km from Lithgow, one side, 260km to civilisation the other side..... Foresty didn't want to knock it down, they had tenders up, could have made a good backpackers between doofs, It could have all been ours, all beautiful and prestine, no trashy bike campers etc,....I posted up many threds here on Doof Village.... but no one in the doof community could get off their acid fucked/pot smoking arse.... :(

Great times! Thanks all that made it so.
Got to take my Son to his first doof and though it was a bit cold and wet (OK bit snowy and very cold) I'm glad that was his first doof experience. Some of the harshness involved in trekking out middle of somewhere unknown to party but so much greatness from everyone. Every person I spoke to at the party had such a positive vibe, even when chasing things blown away or huddling around a fire whilst sidestepping the smoke and flames blown by the crazy changing winds.

Gotta say what a great and huge effort this must have been for the organisers and artists, BRAVO guys and gals.
On that note does anyone know how donations went? Someone came to our camp in the morning and collected a bit but they didn't have much at that point and we were not the first camp they went to. Hope costs were covered but with the fairly small attendance and many leaving early or turning up late I reckon the collections might not have been enough.

Thanks again for the fun in the sun, and wind and snow.

Registered just for this, Had a freaking awesome time, beats we're tasty, even though the cold may have warded people off the floor for periods of time, i think it helped create some great environments around the fires. There was positivity flowing all over the place, it was a fantastic experience :)

Awesome party, reminded me of the way doofs used to be for me.
Had a great time playing, nice system, fun dancefloor.
I still can't get over the snow, man that was cold.
Great music the whole way too, really enjoyed the set that the guy with the white up records hoodie on played just after sunrise sunday morning , well mixed and great track selection, really had me grooving. Who was he?
Top class effort, looking forward to the next instalment.

Had a sick party, love that site my first doof was there only a year ago at the Opposite Day :D Wasn't expecting the extreme cold and the snow so didn't pack my hiking boots; big mistake... hehe thought i had frostbite at one stage couldn't feel my toes for a good 5 hours...

Loved playing the morning melodic set though, think i woke up a few ppl hehe, was great to see some fun on the dancefloor in the sunlight even with the sub-freezing winds :)

Cheers for your comments Satori and Adrian for the reminder :p it was me playing that set after sunrise in that white hoodie, need to sort a black one though to absorb some sun in those early hours...

Hopefully can get another set soon...

Cheers for the party guys, its not made with out the strong family presence and kindness...

Keep it up you wild animals... Peace Out... Jangus Khan
