Was a lot of fun. Although a lot smaller than the US one, it sure did have the elements and felt like Burning Man! The Burn, the artworks, the activities, the gifting, the bars, the stages, the chil zones, the whole community, etc..... awesome! A lot of people are coming back with ideas ready for the next burn. The Seed has been set! :-)

is not franchising a bit sort of 'mc-donaldsy'?

is there some motive beside commercialising the credibility of the burning man[which i guess is some kind of brand name now]?

that is sort of really depressing thinking seemingly bright , energetic people could not come up with something original.

No, it's classed as a regional burn. The consept devised and endorsed from BM. It futher spreads the vibe and consept of BM to the rest of the world, unites people in local regions, enables people to prepare for the US BM, or for those who just can't travel over there. There is a South Africa Burn, and a New Zealand Burn already. People from the US, NZ Europe, Asia and Africa attended the Oz burn. Already its working here.

I also can't see how you can commercialise on a cashless society festival. You can drink all the booze you want, you just need your empty cup, and its all gifted to you.
